It’s time for us to have a real Energy Plan for theUnited States of America.
There’s more money made by big oil from importing and not drilling than if we’d allow drilling and encourage small businesses to do the work that big oil doesn’t seem to want to do.
Former President Jimmy Carter, who set up the Energy Department to free us from Foreign Oil Dependency, took us from importing roughly 27%to importing over 70% of our oil. How’s that working forAmerica?
Let’s begin by dissolving the Department of Energy and calling together our leaders in the energy fields of oil, coal, natural gas, wind, solar, and nuclear, as well as manufacturing sectors, to come up with both the ideas and plans for a REAL energy plan. They are the ones who will ultimately produce the jobs to restoreAmerica.
We must develop and carry out this plan to begin within weeks of the next legislative session. Then pass the legislation that hasAmerica’s Companies implementing these plans that will begin our climb out of the energy hole we have gotten into over the last 40+ years.
We can take oil from many undeveloped areas, as many sources say we have over a 250-year supply of oil, and we need to use it.
We need to cut the time of processing applications for new drilling, to no more than 120 days from the date of applying for a permit to drill, to the issuance of permits.
We need to open up ANWAR inAlaska, the Gulf and oil shale to American companies and put Americans back to work, instead of sending our money to countries that promote terrorism.
Natural gas must also be used, in producing power, in more vehicles throughout the country – especially in fleet services, and for building more efficient homes. We’ll also give NO SUBSIDIES to any industry. Try to remember, we’re supposed to have Free Enterprise.
We must dissolve the EPA and other regulatory agencies. Then turn over all regulation and enforcement to constitutionally allowed Branches of Government. Congress is the only constitutionally allowed law making body. We must rescind all regulations/laws that have been written by the former agencies.
If we follow these few simple recommendations, we can be out of the hole we’ve dug in less than 1 decade. Cheaper energy will create American jobs not just in oil related fields but throughout the economy, as the prices for all our goods and services will drop as a result of low priced energy. This, along with tax policy changes, will bring manufacturing back toAmericaand makeAmericastrong again.
The low price of energy will also give us real security as we will no longer be transferring our wealth over to our enemies, thus enabling them to finance their war against us, by flying planes in to our buildings.
We’ll be able to bring all of this about with one simple – to Restore the Constitution as the REAL GUIDE TO OUR REPUBLIC, and thereby remove the Federal Government from having the control it was never meant to have over the States and our lives.

As Precinct Captain of Mesa #99 Precinct, I was sorry to miss your presentation at the Red Mountain Tea Party due to a scheduling conflict. I am very unhappy with the performance of Jeff Flake for reasons I will not detail here. The United States of Amreica is in a disasterous downward tailspin due to unconstitutional actions of almost all elected [and unelected] officials. I am requesting you give me a call at 480-252-4420 so we can have a confidential meeting about some things that can turn this coutry around [if it is not too late]! The reason for confidentiality is there are lives at stake.
Sincerely,
Paul Ray Millet,
Captain of Mesa #99 Precinct

Your stands on the different issues are exactly what the Liberal Socialist Progressives HATe as they want bigger gov to control this nation instead of the citizens controlling this nation. I was afraid of Jeff Flake as he is what is last name inplies. So far you got my Independent Conservative Tea Party Republican vote.

Thank you, I’ve recently been sinrcheag for information about this subject for a long time and yours is the best I have came upon till now. But, what in regards to the bottom line? Are you positive concerning the source?|What i don’t realize is actually how you are now not really a lot more smartly-favored than you may be right now. You are so intelligent.

uuummm….your logic is flawed on so many levels one would have to be wearing blinders to believe any of it.
1) cost of constructing new energy tapping facilities and refining plants in the US dwarfs other countries making the cost of energy generation….MORE EXPENSIVE. Not just because of the EPA but because of workplace safety issues, mandated benefits of workers, limits on work hours, wage minimums, pollution hazards, access issues, etc. Do we really need another Deep Horizon on our hands because we want to make cheaper energy?
2) so you want to expedite the permit process to 120 days but at the same time you want to get rid of all the agencies that will actually do the work to push the permits how does that work?
3) no subsidies to any industry regulation would actually force more jobs out of the country. Farming would be lost, what little manufacturing would be lost, and most certainly all energy production would cease as the cost of business would surely demand that to make a profit one would have to use a cheaper labor and material supply. Government subsidy is what keeps most of the heavy labor in business. People are in the business to make money…the essence of Capitalism Van!
4) lowering our dependence on foreign energy is a FALSE sense of security. A) they flew OUR PLANES into those New York Buildings. It would seem to me that the terrorists wouldn’t need our money to buy a plane ticket to fly another plane into a building. B) don’t you think by not sending some foreign money oversees people might resent the US even more because no we are not sharing our wealth? I can see that issue cutting both ways. When you’re unhappy with your situation you are always looking for someone to blame and I would think they would just find another reason to hate on the US.
thats all I have…..I’m tired of reading dribble like yours and it probably doesn’t even matter because you’ve got too much hate in your mind to actually understand what I’ve wrote.
have a pleasant evening.

I agree that converting our overland trucks etc to run on natural gas is a great idea given the amount on untapped resources here in the US, however without incentives like subsidies or tax-breaks why would these companies make the investment?
